Former Key & Peele star Jordan Peele is writing and directing a horror thriller film called Get Out. Girls star and NBC’s Peter Pan Allison Williams has been casted as his first lead in the project. QC Entertainment and Blumhouse Productions are producing. Jason Blum, Sean McKittrick, and Edward H. Hamm Jr. are producing, with Couper Samuelson, Ray Mansfield, and Shaun Redick executive producing. Blumhouse most recent release The Visit grossed $64 million at the box office.

Get Out will be about an African American man paying a visit at his Caucasian girlfriend’s family home. At this house, the man gets involved in horror related mayhem. Although not officially confirmed, Williams will most likely be playing the girlfriend.

Peele described his film as taking “on the task of exploring race in America, something that hasn’t really been done within the genre since Night Of The Living Dead 47 years ago. It’s long overdue.”

This will be one of the first movies that Williams will star in. The only other movie that she starred in was the film College Musical.

Get Out has not yet released its production schedule or release date.
