For anyone who has read the classic tale of Robin Hood, keep a look out for a film reboot which is currently in the works. The film titled Robin Hood: Origins has already announced Taron Egerton as the star, and just recently signed Eve Hewson to play Maid Marian.
For those who don’t know Eve Hewson, she is the daughter of U2 singer Bono, and is gaining a career in the acting field. She previously played on Cinemax’s The Knick, and just recently had a role in Steven Spielberg‘s Bridge of Spies.
As for the plot to Robin Hood: Origins, little has been said other than that it obviously is early in the life of our hero and it is said to follow Robin Hood after he returns from the crusades only to discover the corrupt rule in the Sherwood Forest and gathers a group of freedom fighters to rebel. The screenplay is written by Joby Harold, who also worked with Guy Ritchie on his upcoming new take on the King Arthur legend.
As of now, us moviegoers are still waiting for the studio to announce a Sheriff of Nottingham and Prince John.
