The latest LEGO Movie has found its leading lady: Batgirl. With the success of last year’s LEGO movie, the powers-that-be has given the Batman side character a starring role. Will Arnett will reprise his role as Batman, and Batgirl has found her voice in Rosario Dawson. This is Batgirl’s second-ever depiction on film, despite her honor as one of DC’s most beloved superheroes. Rounding out the cast includes Michael Cera as Robin and Zach Galifianakis as The Joker. The feature will be written by Seth Grahame-Smith, co-produced by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, and under the direction of Chris McKay. Although Batman is being rebooted next year for DC Comic’s Extended Universe, there is no word yet as to how Batman’s mythology will be adapted for the Lego edition. The LEGO Batman Movie is expected for release in theaters February 10, 2017.
