WWE Studios revealed that they are making a biopic on one of their legends. Josh Gad is in the middle of bringing the story of “Gorgeous” George Raymond Wagner to the big screen.

Gad has wrapped production on Beauty And The Beast, and between now and his start date for Russ And Roger Go Beyond. it looks like he’s working with writing partner Ryan Dixon to craft the biopic as well.

Gorgeous George started wrestling in his teens and wrestled up until 1962. In 1963 Wagner died at the age of 48. Gorgeous George was a revolutionary bad guy, referred to as a heel in wrestler terminology, in the early days of wrestling.

A true inspiration to many wrestlers and athletes across the word his story will be an interesting one to tell. WWE studios is known to make some pretty terrible movies in the past but this one seems to be the real deal. The WWE will also have multiple opportunities to promote this movie to death with 18 hours of programming a week on TV and the WWE network.

There’s no planned release date for Gorgeous George, but you can see Gads work in The Angry Birds Movie on May 20, 2016.
