This November Michael B Jordan steps into the boxing world as he will play the son of Apollo Creed, Adonis Johnson Creed, in the new “Rocky” Spinoff story Creed. A new 2nd trailer has been put out and it reveals more of what Adonis will be fighting for this time around. The trailer begins by showing Rocky Balboa (Slyvester Stallone) meeting Adonis in a jail cell and explaining to him how his father was a great man and how he can be great too. We then cut to scenes showing Adonis’s training his relationship with Bianca (Tessa Thompson) and of course his training with Rocky. We also come to see how his mother (Phylicia Rashad) had a rough time dealing with the repeated injures his father had every night after the ring. Despite this Adonis tells us through the voice over how fighting is no choice for him and he has been doing it his whole life.

In one of the more interesting highlights of the trailer comes when Adonis explains that he’s scared of taking up the name Creed and being beaten and called a fraud. However Bianca tells him to embrace it. The trailer showcases the true determination that Creed has and will need against a angsty opponent for the title as well as respect for Rocky. The trailer ends with some light humor as Adonis chases after a chicken while Rocky states “Chickens is slowing down”

Along with Jordan, Stallone, Rashad and Thompson, Tony Belew, Wood Harris and current boxing champ Andre Ward will also appear in the picture. The film is directed by Ryan Coogler whom Jordan worked with on Fruitvale Station. Creed hits theaters November 25th. Scroll down for the trailer.
