All summer long Jurrasic World has been breaking numerous records around the globe and now another huge milestone has been met for the 4th film in the “Jurrasic Park” franchise. The blockbuster flick has managed to gross over $1 billion mark in overseas box office sales alone. This places it in 4th place as it sits at a lucrative $1.003 Billion alongside Furious 7 which is in third place with $1.16, Titanic in 2nd place with $1.53 billion and Avatar at the top of the list with $2.03 billion.

The movie maybe in 4th place on this list but it reigns above other 2015 blockbuster hits on the domestic sales list. It sits above films such as Avengers Age of Ultron, Inside Out and Furious 7.

Universal Studio’s has for most of this year been experiencing monumental, record-shattering success. Even the animated smash Minions and Straight Outta Compton has managed to get Universal pass the $6 billion mark in global tickets sold this past weekend, which The Hollywood Reporter said is “by far the biggest showing in history for a Hollywood studio”. Universal looks to continue this success into the fall with their upcoming flicks, The Visit, Everest, Steve Jobs, Crimson Peak, Legend, By The Sea and even movies coming next year such as Ride Along 2, Bourne 5, The Purge 3, The Huntsmen and Neighbors 2.

Jurassic World is still in theaters right now.
