Director of the “Mad Max” Franchise, George Miller is reportedly going to direct the next Superman solo film. Next year will see the release of Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice a sequel to Man of Steel but a joint film nonetheless. After “Dawn of Justice” will come the 2 part Justice League Films, so presumably after those 3 films will come the next Man Of Steel movie to feature only Superman as the hero.
Jon Schnepp, the director of The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened? had reportedly overheard this from Umberto Gonzalez at Heroic Hollywood, who said that Miller visited the set of Suicide Squad recently to talk about the film with producers and that the biggest issue right now is over the budget and what Miller might want.
Originally Miller was very close to directing a Justice League movie back in 2007, which would’ve seen Armie Hammer as Batman and D. J. Cotrona as Superman. However things did not work out. Miller earlier this year directed a brand new remake of Mad Max that ended up becoming very successful.
As of now there is no release date as to when this next Superman solo film will come out.
