Warner Bros Pictures has officially announced that Ben Affleck’s next two pictures are being pushed back from their original dates. The first of these pictures is The Accountant which is also directed by Gavin O Conner. The other is Live by Night which Affleck is both directing and starring in. The Accountant has been moved from its January 29, 2016 release date to an October 7, 2016 release date. Live By Night has been bumped from its October 7, 2016 release date to sometime in 2017.
The reason for the changes is mainly due to the Solo Batman project that Affleck wants to begin immediately after Live By Night. Affleck is teaming up with DC’s Geoff Johns to write the Batman movie. This helps positions Warner Bros to be able to effectively begin a new batman franchise and get production underway after Live By Night wraps up. Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice hits theaters March 25, 2016, and Justice League comes out November 17, 2017. Affleck’s Batman movie will pick up from where those left off and will be release in 2018.
For now no other word has been mentioned as far as The Accountant and Live By Night.
