We’re seeing double debuts with the production of Smitten!. This will be Barry Morrow’s first time directing and Darren Criss’s first starring role since the ending of FOX’s hit series Glee. Darren Criss recently received an Emmy nomination for his original music and lyrics in “Dreams Come True” featured during his time on the show. Prior to his Emmy nomination Criss gained acclamation in voice animation in The Tale of The Princess Kaguya and The Wind Rises. Following his role in Glee, Criss headlined on Broadway as Hedwig in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Barry Morrow who has only continued to rise in fame for his 1988 Oscar winning screenplay Rain Man is not only directing Smitten!; the film is based on his own writings. Morrow’s romantic comedy is centered around Criss’ character – a young American fashion executive who is kidnapped and taken into the Alpine Mountains by three bumbling members of the mafia. In the midst of all the comedic commotion four additional romances are well in motion.

Only a few months ago Ghenea topped headlines for her risqué role in Paolo Sorrentino’s film Youth. The 26-year-old Romanian actress is also set to star in Condemned to Love.
